My name is James Griffiths and I currently run www.thematlockfan.com and www.MTFCTV.co.uk and I feel I would love to host a show on Amber Sound that features guests, banter and great music covering all the local teams from Matlock Town to Belper Town and many more.
I feel this would be a great way to take advantage of the summer of football and would be a great addition to an already great station.
HI only idea i had was to do something for all the local bands about. they make a recording and send it in have folks text in which they think is best for that week and play it for the day folks just text in and vote. should give the radio station a big boost as well play the winner on a weekend that way you can also state what year music you want sending in for that week and it gives them a chance to get ready ...more »

PUT A LINK ON FACEBOOK FOR YOUR SHOW and have an up to date show playing driving songs for 17 to 21 year old's at around 7 till 10pm, especially on sundays and wednesdays as these are the nights most "boyracers" (as they are called by the older generations)go out cruizin. Go to MFN cruize night on Saturday 31st October and comment on the cruize and opinions of the youngsters. its a legal cruize and good fun, everyone is well behaved and meet and chat to there friends whilst showin off there rides and there sound systems built into them.. this is keeping it real and meeting your audience headon doing what they love, showing support for them instead of pre judging will gain you major support for your show and help you reach a far wider younger audience, afterall they listen to music while they cruize.... Just an idea and the music they like is high NRG, bassline and dance with the odd harcore track for good measure...im 45 and i go its cool

Have you considered doing a slot for the local junior football clubs.Teams could send in their results on a sunday afternoon with a short report on their match.They could either be read out on the air or put up on the website.
ask diffrent children to do a little hour of a show on the radio each week it could be the same or diffrent
i came up with a great idea to advertise amber sound get push and pull stickers and place them on shop doors around the area as you know some people look for a sign on the door to either push or pull with amber sound community radio on the sticker with the frequency or web address
Why dont u play live from the regal, as Matt Fury Dj's there anyway??
Or make a compliation of some of the funny things that have been said on the breakfast show, and sell as merchandise. i'd buy a copy of gary traffic takin mick lol!

Have a big TEDDY on show on webcam and listeners should guess the name of the bear to win the chance to be a DJ for 1 hour alongside whoever is on at the time. It will look good on some people's CV :) Doing this also encourages more people to come to chatbox and get involved with the local radio station. Jays idea :)
Outside broadcasts from local businesses would help raise awareness and company profile of your station, whilst promoting the businesses that could be potentially playing your station out to customers and staff.
Doing mini features to find out about what the company provides and meeting some of the staff, having banners and balloons on the premises and creating a buzz about all things local..
a weekly Radio Play Performed by in house, guest and local youth and community actors.
i know that this has been submitted but i think a good 60's show would be great i could even pre record one and send it down to you
another one that would be good big fat party anthems old school dance tunes but i think the 60's would be great

A battle of the bands for AV bands only. Entry fee for the bands with a first prize of a CD recording and onto the playlist of Amber Sound. Final 10 into a live concert. There are some brilliant young bands around AV. Would also broaden AS listerners. happy to help.
Help local communities and charities by attending there function or venue - recording there music requests - this could be included as a half hour slot in some ones existing radio programme.
Alternatively give local charities 3 minutes of air time

Right then please let us know if you agree to move the 80s show to a sunday and bring the dance floor classics to the friday, Im saying this because most folks that is getting ready to go out or having a party at home on a friday night would want dance floor classics from 90s to current, Please let us know your thought's
Hello I'm heather a teenager living in ambergate listening to amber sound it feels there is a lack of teenage influence on the radio if you let young people host maybe a hour every weekend it would provide that +you would gain a larger number of viewers from teens making your audience more diverse
